Valorie Valencia, PhD, RYT

The door to well-being opened for Valorie in 2001. She completed the 200-hour yoga teacher training program at the Southwest Institute of the Healing Arts and the 500-hour program at Inner Vision. She has been exposed to an eclectic blend of Hatha yogasana styles, including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara, Bikram, Jivamukti, and has practiced Kundalini yoga. Valorie integrates aspects of these various yoga styles into Now Power Yoga workshops.

Her many teachers include Brian Miller (Chi Yoga), Jeff Martens, Sri Dharma Mittra, Paul Grilley, Edward Clark (Tripsichore Yoga Theatre), Dr. David Bercelli, and Nicolai Bachman (Sanskrit Sounds). In addition to classes at The Pointe South Mountain, she has taught yoga to women inmates at Maricopa County's Tent City Jail.

Most recently, Valorie learned meridian theory from Dr. Hiroshi Motoyama at the California Institute for Human Sciences, joint freeing exercises from Mukunda Stiles, Shamanic practices from Dr. Alberto Villoldo, health and longevity approaches from David Wolfe, relationship insights from Kathlyn and Gay Hendricks, wealth-generation recipes from Mark Victor Hansen (Chicken Soup for the Soul) and Robert Allen (The One Minute Millionaire), and Qi Gong and other Taoist practices from Cain Carroll and Master Zhongxian Wu.

A scientist by profession (www.authenti-corp.com), Valorie incorporates techniques such as MTT (Meridian Tapping Techniques) and ThetaHealing. As a member of IONS (Institute of Noetic Sciences), she has studied with Gregg Braden, Dr. Bruce Lipton and other pioneers integrating science and spirituality. She has also been heavily influenced by the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Sonia Choquette, Brian Tracy, Dr. Danial Amen, Michael Tamura, Dr. Luanne Oakes, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Stuart Wilde, Ken Wilbur, Dr. David Hawkins, Dattatriya Siva Baba, and Barbara Mahaffey.

Valorie’s never-ending investigation of health, prosperity and relationships adds to the maturity of knowledge and insight she offers. Her goal is to live another 450 years.
